Our Care Providers

Experienced and loving care provided by Andrea, Alissa and myself, Christina, in my home. Andrea, mother of 3, has been caring for children for 13 years, and has been caring for my 2 youngest children for the past year. She will be providing care on T/Th. Andrea is an amazing woman, mother and friend. Alissa is our new care provider who will be here on M/W/F. She has been working with families for many years can comes to us with much experience and energy. We are all CPR/AED Certified. References Available.

A bit about Me!!

I am a mother of 3 and a NYS Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. I started caring for children in high school when I became a summer time Nanny for a wonderful family for 3 years. Since then I have completed my Bachelors and Masters Degrees at LIU CW Post (2000), have been working within the school, early intervention and pre-k systems since 1998. I will be collaborating with Andrea in creating the most educational, exciting and fun environment for your child(ren).

A Home Away From Home

Peas In A Pod will care for children 6 weeks -12 years of age. We will follow a daily schedule which includes learning at appropriate age levels.

~6weeks-18months: visual and auditory stimulation, finger plays, nursery rhymes, stories, floor time, gross motor skills, nap/rest time.

~18mons-4years: colors, shapes, numbers, letters, name/address recognition, potty training, sharing, self help, health, fine/gross motor, early reading skills, nap/rest time.

~4-12 years: reading/writing/homework

~All:am/pm snacks, computer time, outdoor play
